This is an example of the letters that every student signs when they become part of the academy. This enables us to use students for our media work.

Chosen cover picture

I have chosen this photograph for the front cover of my magazine because:

• It is Portrait so it is the correct way size for a magazine cover.
• It is a good medium close up shot.
• The girl in the photo looks happy which shows that she is enjoying school.
• She looks smart.
• It is taken in the school library which shows the books that the school have.
• The library shows that the picture is in a school.
• There is space at the top of the photograph for a masthead.
• The lighting is good and you can see all aspects clearly.
• The books in the background make the picture colourful which will attract attention.
• The rule of thirds is applied making it easy to add writing to the right of the main person.
